Overview

What is Hush?

Hush is a privacy-first Solana wallet. We built it because existing wallets expose your entire transaction history to the world—anyone can see your balance, track your purchases, and follow your activity across the blockchain.

Hush handles privacy behind the scenes. You use it like a normal wallet—single balance view, send to addresses directly, swap tokens normally—while zero-knowledge proofs and a multi-wallet architecture keep your financial activity confidential.

Hush workflow diagram

Quickstart

  1. Download Hush from the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click Receive to generate a one-time address
  3. Send some SOL to that address and watch it get shielded automatically
  4. Check the on-chain history to see how links between wallets are broken—the receive address has no connection to your shielded balance
  5. Try out other features like swapping or sending privately

Core Features

  • Send privately: SOL withdrawals from the shielded pool have no on-chain link back to you
  • Swaps: Jupiter-powered swaps with automatic shielding when swapping to SOL
  • Burner wallets: Every receive generates a fresh one-time address that self-destructs after use
  • DApp wallets: Standalone wallets for connecting to dApps without exposing your main wallet
  • ZCash bridging: Native cross-chain bridging via NEAR Intents

Local & Encrypted

All wallet data is stored locally in your browser and encrypted with your password. Hush never transmits your keys or seed phrase anywhere. This also means we cannot help with funds recovery—do not lose your password or recovery phrase.

Third-Party Services

Hush proxies requests to third-party services through our backend to protect your IP address. Services include:

  • Helius RPC: Solana blockchain queries
  • Jupiter: Token swap aggregation
  • NEAR Intents: Cross-chain bridging to ZCash

Your wallet activity is not logged on our proxy servers.

Best Practices

Hush is designed to follow best practices by default—most users won't need to think about privacy configuration. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Don't send tokens directly to private shards: Use the Receive flow instead, which generates a fresh address and automatically distributes tokens to your shards
  • Create DApp wallets for dApp connections: This prevents companies from linking your IP address to your main wallet addresses
  • Shield SOL before spending: Privacy is strongest when you shield first, then send from your shielded balance
